African – American skin with a rosy brown undertone: the best color families for this skin tone are considered to be all shades of blue, purple, deep shades of magenta, silver and white.

African – American skin with a golden brown undertone: this is considered to belong to warm skin tones, and people with this tone of skin would look good in all shades of green, yellow, brown, orange, gold and copper.

Asian or Latin skin with pink undertones: people with skin tone, ranging from light to dark olive or from light to medium beige would look good in all shades of pink, purple, blue, gray, silver and white.

Asian or Latin skin with yellow undertones: skin with yellow undertones should stick with colors in the peach, yellow, orange, brown or green shades.

Choose Makeup Colors Based on the Hair Color

Colors of Makeup for Blondes: women with blonde hair should better stay with the palest of colors and steer clear of deeper shades, which would cause too much of a contrast. Different shades of mauve, peach, pink will work best on the cheeks and lips, while a wide ragne of pinks, grays, plums and taupe would be ideal colors for eye shadow; however here everything depends on the eye color.

Colors of Makeup for Brunettes: women with brown hair would look their best with eye shadows in a whole range of colors, including blues, bronze, browns, greens and plum. As for their lips and cheeks, brown haired beauties should better apply somewhat deeper colors, such as terra cotta, plum or all possible shades of red. Most any color, which has any type of brown undertone, would also look perfect on a brunette.

Colors of Makeup for Redheads: for lipsticks and blush, these women should apply somewhat warmer shades, such as bronzes, cinnamon, corals and terra cotta. Although the majority of redheads women are usually advised to apply all possible shades of green for their eye shadows; however, they should better try to experiment with some other colors, such as copper, eggplant, plum and / or sable.
