1. First of all, you need to wash your face using a gentle soap and cold water. Dap the face carefully and don't wipe it dry and apply a gentle  astringent. It should be a part of the beauty regimen of every woman. It is not hard to find astringents. If you suffer from a breakout you can use a concealer or coverup stick which should be put directly on your blemishes.

2. Then you need to apply your foundation. It should be applied with your fingers around the blemishes and blended carefully. After that you can apply the rest of your make up as usual. Finish your look with a light dusting of face powder. You will notice that your pimples are less visible.

You can prepare your face for the foundation better if the proper hygiene is used.  You shouldn't overwash your face because this can damage your skin.  It is recommened to wash the face once or twice daily with cold water and a mild cleanser. This will improve your skin immensely. To keep the skin clear and healthy you should apply moisturizer and exfoliants correctly.

5. There are four foundation formulations: oil based, water-based, oil-free, and water-free or anhydrous forms. Oil based foundations are suitable for dry skin; water based products can fit all skin types. Oil free items are designed for oily skin, while anhydrous forms are long wearing and are used for camouflage or theatrical reasons.

6. Covering up the pimples can help you feel more self-conscious. The rules of applying make up during a breakout are up to the individual woman, just like shaving during an outbreak for individual young man. However this is not a right answer.
Makeup specialists in department stores can also give you a good advice. There are also workshops or seminars where you ca learn how to apply make up.  If the store caters to teens, they may inform you about acne as well as general skin care. You may ask if they offer any of these services.

7. Most famous cosmetic comanies produce special products which help prevent acne. Ask the sales associate if they have such products. A great way is to find a good make up artist who could help you with this process and explain you how to apply facial foundation during an acne breakout.

8. You need to try different products and ask the sales representative for an advice. He or she can recommend you an effective prouct which can help alleviate acne breakouts.
