Make Up for Every Age Group

Makeup cream. Most women wear make up by three main reasons.

First of all they want to protect their skin from ultraviolet lights which are very harmful and may lead to skin damage and aging. Today most make up products include SPF filters which are a good protection from ultraviolet exposure.

The second reason is to hide blemishes which women have on their face such as wrinkles, puffy eyelids, pimples, dark spots, an unsightly mole or birthmark. Make up conceals, hides the problem areas and highlights the other areas on your face which are more presentable.

The third reason is to display the most attractive features of their face. You can make your eyes more beautiful with the help of a few tricks using mascara and eye shadow. If your lips are pout you can make them even more luscious and kissable.

However the main aim of wearing make up is to make it as natural looking as possible and it should suit the age of the women.

Look through general recommendations on what kind of make up should woman wear according to her age.

Give the preference to sheer, oil-free and water-based foundation. Your main aim is to create a natural look: use natural looking eye shadows and don’t overdo with mascara. Apply a gel blush to add a natural glow to your face. But if your skin is oily you should use a powder blush instead. Your lipstick or lip gloss should be lightly tinted.

Twenties (20-29). This is a blooming period of your womanhood and you should reflect it in your make up. Apply less foundation and match the colors used for the eyes with the natural color of the eyes, your skin tone, as well as the mood you are in. When you are going to go to work wear a light powder blush and a lightly tinted lipstick.

For some special occasions like a date, party use bright colors.

Thirties. This is the period of aging when the first wrinkles appear. You need to start toning the palette of your makeup down. Use a bit more foundation but your blushers should be in more muted colors. Don’t wear frosted make up in order to mask the small wrinkles and fine lines.

Forties (40-49). The aging becomes more obvious at this period. You need to wear make up that fits your skin. Use oil-based foundation if your skin is dry. The light base should be put over the wrinkles of your face. Apply more concealer creams to cover the dark spots and dark circles. Steer clear from frosted or metallic eye shadow, especially if your eyes are puffy. For your cheeks you can use softer colors.

Fifties and above (50+). At this period you need to let yourself age gracefully. Don’t use matte-based make up and frosty, shiny or metallic colors for your eyes. Such make up will highlight the puffiness and the wrinkles. Choose the light colors of the lipstick and avoid blue and red colors.
