Step 7: Mascara You have to use the mascara to the upper lashes using long, sweeping strokes. You must begin to apply the mascara as close to the lash root as possible and brush up and out. Use an old, cleaned-up mascara to remove any clumping that occurs. You have to use the mascara to the lower lashes by holding the wand perpendicular to the eye and parallel to the lashes. If it is necessary you can use a tissue to dry excess mascara off the brush before applying to the lower lashes. If you use a lash curler you have to use it before applying the mascara. Compress you lashes gently with even pressure, hold for a few seconds and release slowly. Step 8: Blush You have to apply blush along the full line of the cheekbone brushing down and back toward the ear. Don’t forget to kick the excess powder out of the brush just to avoid applying too much blush. Use your sponge to extenuate any hard edges. It’s wrong to apply blush to the temple area, chin, nose, or forehead. Step 9: Lipstick and lip liner As an optional accessory you can use a lip pencil to draw a certain line around the mouth to follow when applying lipstick. A lip brush helps to control your application. It is best to use a lip brush if your lips are small. To use a lip brush is good if your lips are large. It helps to improve your accuracy, especially with deeper shades such as red. You must line the real shape of your mouth and not use corrective techniques that will make your mouth look larger or longer. It is not recommended especially for daytime makeup because it always looks like a mistake. Important: Good brushes are necessary for applying makeup: a) use soft and smooth brushes. Avoid solid or rigid brushes. b) use a brush that is the right size for the area of the face you are working on. Avoid too large or too small brushes. c) shake the excess powder off the brush before you apply the color to your face. d) avoid wiping or rubbing the brush across the face. e) wash your brushes every month or so.
