1. Your lipstick is done; however there is still a bit of it down the tube. Take a cotton swap or orange stick, scrape out the last bits and mix it with vaseline or add lip gloss in matching color. You can apply this mixture to your lips using lip brush.

Another great advice is to take the lipstick remnants and put them in the pill case. Then you should nuke the pill case untill the lipstick melts. This lipstick can be applied with a lip brush and can be also carried with you in your purse.

2. Never apply a tester lipstick to your lips. It is totaly unhygienic. You should test your lipstick on your fingertips. 

3. Apply liner to your lips which can serve as a base. The liner applied before the lipstick can make it last longer on your lips. If you wear light shade of lipstick give the preference to a nude liner.

4. A light shade of lipstick should never go with a dark liner. It looks great if your lips are defined but it is crucial that your liner could fit the color of lipstick or gloss. 

5. With the help of this trick you can keep your lipstick off your teeth. Once the lipstick is applied, pop your index finger in your mouth and then pull it out. You will notice that the excess lipstick will come off on your finger and won't remain on your teeth.

6. You can also use your lipstick as a blush.

7. It is possible to contour your lips with eye liner no just before but also after the lipstick or gloss has been applied. Most women prefer to line their lips before the lipstick application. They argue that they won't be able to see the natural line of your lips if the lipstick is applied first. However, your lips will look more natural if your lips are lined after the lipstick is applied.
