Optical Illusion in Eye Make up
Review a few simple techniques of using eye shadow and eyeliner in order to create optical illusions which can help hide your imperfections.
Optical Illusion in Eye Make up

Not all people are born with perfect face. You should ask your friends and you will find out that some of them think that their eyes are set too close together, or too far apart or too squinty.

Fortunately, contemporary make up products can help you do all sorts of optical illusions.

optical_illusionIf you want to make your eyes look:
* closer together. You will look much better if you emphasize the outer corner of the eye or so called the 'v' zone. However if you put an emphasis on the inner corner your eyes will look closer together:

You need to apply a light shadow over the whole eye. After that put a medium color on the inner half of the eyelid and blend outward to make a natural look. Then line your eyes from the inner corner of the eye to the middle and blend outward.

* further apart. If your eyes are less than an eyes-width apart, you can make your eyes appear wider if you apply lighter shade on the inside corners and use the dark on the outer edges.

Apply a concealer which is one shade lighter than your skin on the inner corners of the lids. Blend it thoroughly and don't forget to cover the gray shadowy areas on the side of your nose. Choose a matte eye shadow in a medium-to-dark shade and stroke it outward and slightly upward starting from the middle part of your lid to the outer half of your lid. Then line your eyes with eyeliner from the inner corner tapering the line up and out, just a bit past the outer corner of the eyes.

* bigger. You can make your eyes appear bigger if you use light shades in your eye make up while dark shades can make eyes look even smaller.

Choose a light shade and sweep it over the lid, then use a darker shade in the outer corner of the lid and the crease. The upper and lower lids should be outlined with eyeliner. You should also taper a bit outside the eye. Finally apply a white or cream shadow in the middle of the browbone so that the eyes could have popped look.

* not so...droopy. It is possible to lift down-turned eyes with the help of proper eye make up technique.

Cover with eye shadow the outer corner of the lid extending color up and out creating a feline shape. Apply a lighter color on the brow bone. It is not advised to use eyeliner because it can accentuate the 'droopy' contour. Apply mascara putting emphasize on the inner corner of the eye. Finally smudge a sliver shadow on the inner corners of the eyes to lift them.

* less deep-set. Women with deep-set eyes have prominent browbones. You need to apply a light or medium-tone shade on lid and sweep a darker shade above the eye crease.  Line your eyes from the inside, make the line thicker in the niddle of the eye and taper it towards the outer part of the lid. Highlight the browbone with a light shade.

And here is a great eye make up trick for Asian women:
The eyelids of Asian women tend to disappear when the eyes are open the definition to them can be added by sweeping a medium-toned shade across the lid and browbone. Apply a light highlighter shade under the browbone and then line the upper and lower lash lines with a pencil liner. As a result you should achieve a fine and natural looking line.
