Green for eye make up is a hue which you either absolutely adore or hate.  However green has gained popularity and today you can find many different shades of this beautiful color. It is possible to wear green eye make up and look fabulous no matter what hair color or complexion you have.

How to select the appropriate shade of green?
It can be a very hard task to choose the suitable shade of green when you are confronted with the many teals, limes and cedanols in your cosmetic aisle. Each person has a different complexion and the best way to choose the right shade it to try it on yourself. You should know and follow the basic guidelines which can be very helpful and lead you in the right direction. You can make your blue eyes more sparkling if you use such green shades as emerald or more playful lime hues in your eye make up.  This color is also perfect for green eyes but it is recommended to stick with matte shadows in muted tones. Women with brown eyes will look fabulous and can experiment with all shades of green for their eye make up. The most winning shades are warm colors like olive or bright burst of whimsy with key lime.

If you use green in your eye make up for the first time you should start with a sheer layer of the chosen color and than gradually add it until you reach the desired shade.  This technique is especially useful when applying brighter colors.  

Another make up trick is to start your eye make up with a neutral color, for example peach or taupe and then sweep a small amount of green across your lid crease. You can also use a green eye liner instead of shadow to add a hint of color to frame the neutral shade.

It should be mentioned that if you use so much bold color on your eyes you need to go a bit easier on your lip color. Give the preference to a nude lipstick which has a hint of shimmer or simply a clear gloss. You lip color shouln't compete with your green eye make up.
